Health Tip for Spring

A gentle cleanse for 5-7 days can give you a chance to clean out from winter and feel more vital for spring and summer. This doesn’t mean you need to stop eating, oh no! Just changing your diet for 5-7 days by eating whole grains, (rice, quinoa, millet), fresh vegetables – especially leafy greens like kale, chard, collards, fresh fruits, healthy meats or beans and lots of water.


Keep food simple, take out sauces, salt, spices – revisit the simple tastes and give your body a chance to naturally detoxify for 5-7 days. Try to stop dining out, decrease refined sugar, remove breads, pasta and start the day with a subtle lemon water (1/8 – 1/4 of a lemon).


In just one week your body can naturally detox the build up from the winter months. Resume your regular diet gently, and maybe even keep up with some of the foods you tried during the mini cleanse!
