SIX DEGREES HEALTH PANDEMIC EDITION 2020

Dear Six Degrees Communities, it’s been seven weeks since we closed our clinic, and we have been searching for ways to continue supporting you through this pandemic.

We are still unclear about when exactly we will be able to re-open the clinic to continue our treatments. It looks like the return to any kind of normal back to our treatments will take some time and will be a gradual process. With this in mind, and in light of the financial burdens we are experiencing, we have needed to make some hard decisions about our bricks-and-mortar clinic space.

Since March 13th, like so many businesses, we have had to close our services abruptly. This means that we have not been able to pay our rent and wages, to name a just few of our financial obligations. This reality has led us to make the hardest of decisions: to let go of our physical clinic space. When we re-open, we will no longer be operating out of our clinic at 1490 Dundas West. We want to be very clear however, that we intend to continue our clinic services in a new space once it is safe and practical to do so. Temporarily discontinuing our clinic space is one of the many ways that we are working as a clinic to adapt to our changing times while still meeting the needs of our community. Updates will be posted at sixdegreeshealth.biz.

We reach out to you with this information knowing that many of us around the world are experiencing financial difficulties as well as other hardships. We are thinking of you all and what you might be experiencing in your lives. Our team has been meeting (safely!) to discuss ways that we can adapt to the needs of our community in the immediate future. We will keep you updated with these details as in the coming days and weeks.

In the meantime, we invite you to be in touch with us to navigate how we can support your health needs on an individual basis. Above all, we want you to know that we are here to respond to your questions and concerns about your treatment plans, and we are available virtually to connect with you, whether it’s to improve your mental health or to lift your spirits and sense of self-preservation during this difficult time.

For inquiries about connecting remotely, please contact us at wellnessharmony@yahoo.ca. Finally, if you are in a position to offer any support to our small but mighty community clinic, we are humbly accepting donations to help cover our immediate costs, as well as future costs associated with re-opening our clinic space when the time comes, please go to https://distantly.ca/six-degrees-community-acupuncture. Thank you to all of you who have reached out with support and love.

We will rise again,

Six Degrees Team
